I Am Afraid My Cancer Will Come Back

It is very reassuring to know that you are doing \”something\” to fight the cancer every time you visit your healthcare provider. When that visual and experiential reinforcement is no longer present, it is very frightening for cancer patients.

Your fears are very normal, and are often experienced by breast cancer patients once treatment has ended.

First of all, know that you did everything you could to treat the cancer, both in choosing and following through with your treatments. Second, it helps to talk with someone who has faced the same fear; call the 24-hour National Breast Cancer Hotline.
